Nostradamus has had an impressive track record of predicting things in the past. Is the same true for some of his predictions in 2023? Nostradamus has been a name associated with predictions of the future. Although it’s hard to tell which predictions happened, a few mentions in his book seemed to have come true.
Let’s look at some of his predictions and see if they were a hit or miss, but before that, let’s learn more about the French astrologer himself.
Are Nostradamus’ predictions accurate?
Nostradamus, a French astrologer, is the most famous seer in history and has been credited with multiple predictions gone right. Some of these predictions include the rise of Hitler to the 9/11 attacks.
He published a book called Les Propheties in 1555, laying out multiple predictions for the years to come. However, one thing lacking is the date, making it hard to tell when specific predictions might happen. Nonetheless, some predictions made in the past could stand true today.
Nostradamus’ 2023 predictions
Although it’s hard to tell if these predictions are happening, here are some of the most likely ones that either happened, are happening, or could happen in the future.
A great war
One of Nostradamus’ famous predictions is that of a great war. This included a line saying: “Seven months great war, people dead through evil.” Should this be taken as a prediction? Could this reference the current war in Ukraine or a potential conflict between the U.S. and China? There is no way to verify if this was the war between Russia and Ukraine, mainly because of the “seven months” mentioned.
The end of Mars
As part of Nostradamus’ predictions on the great war, it was also predicted that the “lights of Mars will go out.” This suggests either the end of Mars or something much bolder.
Elon Musk has recently made his estimations, suggesting that astronauts could finally reach Mars in 2029. Of course, another interpretation could be that the mystery behind Mars would go out, but that’s another theory that depends on interpretation.
Economic disaster
After the pandemic, major crypto firms collapsed, banks started failing, and economic troubles began to surface. This could be another of Nostradamus’ predictions, especially since he said: “So high will the bushel of wheat rise.”
He then continued with a disturbing finishing statement, saying it would be high enough that “man will be eating his fellow man.” Although a morbid sentence, this could refer to how much people struggle financially that it would result in them taking advantage of one another.
Climate crisis
Nostradamus also gave a prediction about how climate could change. Although there was a significant improvement during the pandemic, as the lockdowns resulted in fewer emissions for some time, the climate has not been as grim as the astrologer’s predictions.
According to Nostradamus, there would be no rainbows for 40 years, then “for forty years it will be seen every day. After that, the dry earth will grow more parched, and there will be great floods when seen.” The statement closely resembles a depiction of Noah’s ark, but it does have similarities to what happened recently with the California bushfires and other recent floods.
Are Nostradamus’ 2023 predictions reliable?
It’s hard to say whether the predictions of Nostradamus this 2023 are reliable. While many people have different interpretations of his predictions, it’s still up for discussion about what he specifically meant with his statements.
It’s important to note that Nostradamus was not always correct with his predictions, or this solely depends on how people viewed things. However, some of his predictions were wrong, like the French Revolution, WWII air combat, the great war of 2002, and others.
Conclusion
Depending on how you view it, Nostradamus could be somehow correct about some things or somehow wrong about others. But of course, these also rely on the interpretations of these predictions and which one you follow.
