The existence of the human soul has been a contentious topic for centuries. However, recent scientific research by Russian scientist Konstantin Korotkov suggests that the soul indeed exists, and he claims to possess tangible evidence that proves it.

The study of the human energy field

Konstantin Korotkov, a professor of Information Technology, Optics, and Mechanics at the St. Petersburg State University in Russia, has made significant strides in studying the human energy field. Using bioelectronic imagery technology combined with a more advanced Kirlian photography technique called “gas discharge visualization,” he has captured images that he believes show the soul leaving the body.

In the 1990s, Korotkov designed a device called GVC, based on the ancient Chinese energy meridian system. This non-invasive, painless assessment tool measures the bioenergy field emitted by organic life forms. The device uses a small electric current to connect to the fingertips and transmits signals in less than a millisecond. When these electrical pulses stimulate the body, it naturally responds with a photon-generated electron cloud, which can be captured and translated onto a computer.

Scientific study of spiritual phenomena

Scientists postulate that the soul is an elusive, non-material factor governing human thoughts, behaviors, spirits, emotions, and other subconscious aspects. In 2001, rigorous scientific experiments on afterlife communication conducted by American scientists corroborated the existence of souls after death.

Researchers and students from the University of Arizona conducted unique experiments involving a group of mediums and 10 individuals who had recently lost loved ones. Without prior knowledge about the deceased, the mediums attempted to receive messages from them.

Psychology Professor Gary Schwartz, one of the lab’s founders, invited four mediums for the experiment. Each medium sat facing a wall, while a person mourning a recent loss sat 6 feet behind them. For about 10 minutes, the mediums, unaware of the bereaved individuals behind them, focused intently on receiving psychic impressions.

The subsequent Q&A allowed participants to respond only with “yes” or “no.” Professor Schwartz emphasized that the mediums didn’t fish for personal details. Instead, they attempted to clarify received impressions. Astonishingly, mediums occasionally named the deceased and revealed unknown private details, leaving the participants agape. For instance, one medium informed a participant about an uncle who died in World War II — a fact unknown to the participant, but later confirmed by relatives. On analyzing the results, the mediums’ average accuracy rate stood at 83 percent, with one reaching an astounding 93 percent.

The weight of the soul

Some scientists, after studying numerous near-death clinical cases, have defined the soul as an energy field existing in some form. In 1907, Dr. Duncan MacDougall of Massachusetts placed dying individuals on scales to measure weight changes post-death, finding a weight decrease of 21 grams immediately after death. This weight was postulated to be the approximate weight of the soul, departing in the form of energy. However, subsequent similar experiments didn’t show an immediate weight loss post-death, indicating measurement errors in the initial experiment.

Interesting facts about reincarnation

In 1983, Australian psychologist Peter Ramster produced a documentary called The Reincarnation Experiment, which presented compelling evidence of past lives. One participant in the documentary, under hypnosis, remembered a life during the French Revolution, speaking French fluently and knowing the names of streets that had long since been renamed.

Conclusion

While the existence of the soul remains a topic of debate, these scientific studies offer intriguing insights into the possibility of its existence and the potential for reincarnation. As research continues, we may find more concrete answers to these age-old questions, shedding light on the mysteries of life, death, and what lies beyond.
