In time, Li Youfu’s acupoint technique became as he wished, and he could save people. He went on to learn additional techniques and helped many people. Here are a few such stories.

The ability to cure disease

One year, a man went hunting in Huairou, Beijing, but accidentally fell from the mountain and became paralyzed. Li Youfu, who was nearby, could tell that the man’s acupoints were closed. He used his hand to strike a few points, and the man stood up again. Everyone who witnessed it thought it was terrific.

Later, after being promoted in a newspaper, Li Youfu’s reputation as an acupoint healer became known. He decided to learn traditional Chinese medicine and became an acupuncturist.

Because of his solid foundation and his willingness to learn, Li Youfu cured many complex and complicated illnesses. There were many miraculous cases.

For example, a boy who had severe epilepsy had more than five seizures every day. After being treated by Li Youfu for several months, he had almost no seizures. When a little girl from Russia with leukemia had 18 of her 20 blood indicators out of the normal range and came to see him, the child feared needles, so he gave her an ear massage instead. Unexpectedly, two months later, without taking any medicine, the child returned to normal.

Li Youfu’s reputation as a divine doctor gradually spread, even reaching the United States. In 1993, he opened a clinic there at the invitation of a friend. Unexpectedly, at that age, Li Youfu, already considered a master by others, became a disciple of another master.

A divine doctor finds a true cultivation way

Li Youfu had sought the true Dao (or way) in his previous life and finally found a true master to teach him. He then entered the true path of cultivation, and many problems that he had encountered, researched, and thought about, but could not solve before, were now quickly resolved. Even his long-standing headaches, which he had tried every possible method to cure but failed, were healed.

Li Youfu was thrilled to discover that he had made even more significant breakthroughs in martial arts. Before, when he meditated, he felt light and airy, as if floating on clouds, which felt pretty good. Now, he could soar out of the earth and into the boundless universe.

Not only that, but his medical skills also became even more exquisite. He was even able to bring people back from the dead.

In 2004, one of his friends, who was a pastor, suddenly had a stroke. He was taken to the hospital that night, and the following day, the doctors declared him brain dead. It was suggested that his family remove the ventilator and prepare for cremation.

Li Youfu's steady posture and sharp gaze made him look like he was still an 18-year-old man, just like the young many who began learning martial arts all those years ago.

The pastor’s wife was reluctant to give up hope and came to Li Youfu for acupuncture treatment. After two weeks of treatment, the pastor’s life was no longer in danger. The doctors were so pleased that they encouraged Li Youfu to continue his treatment. A few days later, the pastor was transferred from the intensive care unit to a regular ward, and he eventually returned to normal.

There are many such examples. Li Youfu, now retired and rarely seeing patients, still remembers the traditional martial arts he devoted his life to. Last fall, he was invited to be the judging committee chairman of an international martial arts competition and was pleased to attend.

Despite his advanced age, he was still energetic and occasionally demonstrated some moves to younger practitioners. Even with a simple movement, he showed textbook-perfect techniques. His steady posture and sharp gaze made him look like he was still an 18-year-old man, just like the young man who began learning martial arts all those years ago.
