Another time, he delivered the correct amount of tea to a customer after realizing he had given too little. Upon earning his law license, Lincoln distinguished himself in the often disreputable field of law. In one case, after discovering that his client was lying, he withdrew from the proceedings, refusing to support dishonesty. He advised young lawyers to hold onto their integrity above all.
Turning enemies into friends
Lincoln was also known for his tolerance. He once said: “Do we not destroy our enemies when we make them our friends?” This approach was evident in his dealings with political opponents. Even when insulted or ridiculed, he responded with grace and humility. His ability to turn enemies into friends was a testament to his character and leadership.
