How to Read a Person’s Character in Their 50s, 60s, and 70s

There are billions of people in the world, and the character and appearance of each person are different. There is a saying that goes: “The face is the index of the heart and the heart dictates what one expresses,” meaning, whatever a person’s character may be, it is reflected in their appearance and vice versa.

When God gives us our innate character, he also gives us a corresponding appearance. This closely relates to our health and wellness, and impacts our life expectancy. The appearance of a person not only refers to their exterior look, but also includes the heart of the person, an indication of their overall temperament and image emanating from the inside.

When you look at someone, you often gather an initial first impression. With a further observation of their words and actions, the person’s character is further revealed. You can even surmise the person’s destiny, and whether they are someone worthy of creating a friendship with.

Each part of your body not only expresses your true self, but also impacts the destiny of your life. It’s actually pretty amazing when you think about it!

The following are some character clues you can look for as a person ages into their 50s, 60s, and 70s.

Age 50: Look at a person’s heart

Since it is said that your appearance will affect your destiny, what part of a person’s appearance is key to focus on when a person is in their 50s? The answer is their heart.

The heart reflects your inner appearance. Your heart will show your thoughts, which then lead to your words and actions. If the things you do and say are honest and selfless, it is a reflection of a good heart and good character. If you say and do things that are unkind, dishonest, self-serving, and that hurt others, this is a reflection of an impure heart, and will manifest in poor health as you age.

It’s important to remember that the busier one is in middle age with their job, family, and other chores, the more important it is for them to ensure the clarity of their heart. It is easier to develop an increasingly impure heart the more you strive to get ahead in life or to live a life of comfort and ease.

Mindset plays a very important role. For example, if you can’t stand to hear others say a few unkind words about you and get angry and let it grate on your mind, these bad thoughts and emotions will negatively impact your overall health, and they naturally have a profound impact on your life expectancy.

Maintaining a calm and peaceful mind without worries, fear, or unkind thoughts is something you should aspire to do. In this way, you will live life simply and lightly, and enjoy better health as a result.

Age 60:  Look at a person’s ears

At the age of 60, what should we look at in a person? It is the ears.

As the saying goes: “One attunes to what one hears at age 60.” By the time a person reaches the age of 60, the impulsiveness and arrogance of youth should have subsided. A person with good character should be able to listen calmly to the words of others without waiting for the chance to jump in and respond. Whether the words you hear are good or bad, not only can you hear them, but you can immediately digest and think about them with an open mind.

This is a good skill for us all to develop. No matter what people say, you should be able to listen kindly and calmly, and hear them out. If what they say makes sense, you can accept it. If it doesn’t, you can just let those words pass through you like a breeze, and not let them affect you.

The best philosophy for good health is to have a clear and open mind, as well as clear and open ears, in order to easily listen to others and not be overtaken by emotion or impulsive words — to have a good character.

Age 70:  Look at a person’s life

The ancients lamented: “It is rare to live to 70 years old.”

In the past, it was unusual to see someone who lived this long. That was why, to them, to live one more day was to earn one more day. They did not take it for granted, and the reason for a person living a long life could often be seen in how he lived his life, which was a reflection of his character.

By understanding fate, people can live naturally, not lamenting their lot in life. When encountering trivial matters, they will not be entangled in them. When seeing things they do not like, they do not get upset, but are willing to accept hardships that come and make the best of them. Even if they encounter enemies from the past, their character allows them to laugh off the grudge they may once have had.

The key is that when you reach the age of 70, you are able to understand yourself and accept your true self. You can let go of things easily and live a life of acceptance and forgiveness.

By age 70, you have nurtured your heart, attuned your ears, and can guard your speech. Being kind, tolerant, and patient must be part of daily life. You should cherish every day and be grateful for every minute, because these are gifts from Heaven. You should also express gratitude for the help and support of your family and friends.

At this age and stage of life, you understand the importance of simply following the will of Heaven in order to live life to its fullest. The life lesson for us all is that a person is able to grow into old age because they have learned to temper their heart, as well as their will. These things are the keys to living a long life and having an overall good appearance and good health.
