The wallet
In Texas, a man named Neil was an entrepreneur specializing in audio equipment. One day, while dining in a restaurant, he heard the sound of a cane tapping on the ground behind him. Recognizing it as the sound of a blind person, he subtly gestured to the person.
The blind man noticed someone in front of him. Approaching Neil, he pulled out a new leather wallet and said: “Sir, this is genuine. It’s soft and shiny! It’s only five dollars. Would you like to buy it?”
Neil immediately took out some money and said: “I don’t need a wallet, but I’d be happy to buy it and give it to a friend. You don’t have to give me any change.” The blind man took the bill and was overjoyed when told it was a hundred-dollar note. He thanked Neil profusely, amazed by his kindness.
A tragic accident
